Rockstar has used the "capable outsider pulled into local crime" setup before — Niko Bellic's arrival in Liberty City and CJ's return to San Andreas both follow a version of it. Rockstar hasn't confirmed a specific inciting incident that pulls Jason out of the Keys and into the wider Leonida conspiracy, or detailed how his Heder arrangement resolves. Both remain open questions heading into the November 19, 2026 release.
